We’re sorry to hear you have health problems, but our next-generation meters can’t be the cause, because they present no health risks.
Radiofrequency emission levels measured 1 meter away from a next-generation meter are approximately 55,000 times lower than the safety limits set by Health Canada. No matter where the next-generation meter is installed, it is safe.
When several meters are installed in one place, this does not result in a cumulative effect. Health Canada confirms that “in cases where multiple smart meters are installed together, as in some townhouses or high-rise buildings, the total exposure levels from multiple smart meters will still be far below Health Canada’s radiofrequency energy exposure limits, due to the infrequent nature of transmissions.”
