With regards to tracking your electricity consumption, a pilot project has already been implemented. By the end of 2016, customers will be able to track their daily consumption.
There are no plans to implement any comparable tool to track electricity production. We should reiterate that 99% of Hydro-Québec’s energy is produced by our hydropower generating stations. The vast majority of the electricity that you consume comes from hydropower. With regards to the remainder, one portion comes from wind parks and, at certain specific times during the year, in particular during the winter when it is very cold, another portion may be imported.
