The last revamp of the bill dates back to 2008, when a number of changes were made in its appearance. They included changes to the bill's layout, new wording, contrasting colors, a light background and a different typeface and print size. The new bill was tested by sixteen focus groups composed of Hydro-Québec customers and representatives. It was also analyzed by the Ordre des optométristes du Québec, among others.
We are sensitive to the needs expressed by our customers, especially with regards to billing. Now that practically all of our customers have next-generation meters that do not require manual reading, we are looking into adjusting our current billing system to be able to offer new options to our customers, such as monthly and fixed-date billing. These new options would be a good opportunity to revise how the information is presented on the bill and in your Customer Space. We are currently studying the impacts of such changes, the technical feasibility as well as the associated costs.
