You must comply with the clearance requirements of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), which sets out the minimum distances to be kept between a pool and an electrical installation. The minimum distance between a pool and the low-voltage system is indeed 5 m.
The location of your pool, whether it’s in-ground or above-ground, must meet these standards, which apply to overhead and underground electrical systems. And remember: the clearance requirements also apply to the diving board, slide and ladder as well as to the raised deck built around an above-ground pool.
Before installing a pool, contact our customer services. One of our specialists will help you choose where to put your pool. Please don’t hesitate, this is a free service.
