Outages may be caused by a number of factors: weather events, animals coming into contact with our electrical installations, car accidents that damage our equipment and by other factors out of our control.
The Monkland Village is known for having mature trees. A fair number of outages in your area are caused by branches or trees that fall onto power lines during harsh weather events such as a storms, strong winds or freezing rain.
In order to maintain quality of service, we perform cyclical pruning on the trees close to our electrical system.
Other service interruptions in your area were also done at the request of emergency services, during fires or gas leaks.
